Daedalus?
It is argued
that Daedalus was history's first recorded inventor.
In his day,
Daedalus was famous for many things such as the Labyrinth in Crete
(to imprison the Minotaur), the sextant, the compass, the sail,
the potter's wheel, the modern axe - but we remember him mainly
for the wings he made for his son, Icarus.
Since the
majority of our work is illustration for use in instructional
guides, we thought it appropriate to name our company after a
man of great stature and ability, whose instuctions to his son
went unheeded, causing his untimely end. When you see a user manual
for a product and it says 'batteries must not be eaten', it's
probably there because somewhere along the line, someone got real
hungry..!
